Nurses Shield Newborns In Brave Act During 5.8-Magnitude Assam Earthquake
In a heartwarming gesture, two nurses were seen shielding newborn babies at a hospital during a 5.8 magnitude earthquake in Assam. An earthquake struck several parts of the Northeast and adjoining West Bengal on Sunday evening. The viral video is of a private hospital in Nagaon district of the state.
The brave act of the nurses was caught on camera and it can be seen that during tremors and power fluctuation, they were protecting the babies. Watch the viral video here.

Earthquake In Assam
An earthquake of 5.8 magnitude struck parts of the Northeast and adjoining West Bengal on Sunday evening. As per the officials, the first jolt of 5.8 magnitude was recorded at 4:41 pm, the second tremor of 3.1 magnitude was felt at 4:58 pm, followed by another tremor of 2.9 magnitude at 5:21 pm. The fourth jolt was of 2.7 magnitude and recorded at 6:11 pm.
The Assam State Disaster Management (ASDMA) informed that two girls got injured in Udalguri due to the collapse of the ceiling of a hostel, and several houses were damaged in different parts of the state.
Notably, Udalguri was the epicentre of three earthquakes.
The officials also told PTI that the roof of a house collapsed in the Amguri area of the district. Two houses and a store were partially damaged in Sonitpur, while minor wall cracks appeared on a few houses in Biswanath district.
PM Modi, who was on a trip to Assam, spoke to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and assured all support from the Centre.
